Because exactly two years ago on this day, I was waiting for a unit viewing to be finished so I can prep myself as I felt the "signs" that he was going to propose. I was so fidgety because I highly suspected Andrew 'might' do it at Serendra BGC which I honestly was so scared of because hello, as much as I love Glee, I also didn't want to be a poster bride for a flash mob proposal...that's just not who we are.

I shared these thoughts with Rowie as we were waiting at the lobby, that I felt this was THE night and all my fears about it. Finally, her phone rang and we were called to go upstairs for the viewing as the 'caretaker had finished cleaning up the place for us to take photos'. With my mind far far away, I didn't notice the sign at the door: "DO NOT ENTER: Unless you are Madel Baljon." There were some decors pinned on the door and a bouquet of roses (meant as a thank you gift for Rowie) and I honestly thought, "wow, mukhang may couple on honeymoon pa!" We were walking towards the unit and I was surprised when Rowie made beso and said, "good luck dear!" and literally ran away. What? Why did she leave? It was her contact after all, why did she leave?? It was then that I realized, "OMG...It's happening NOW!! It's happening HERE!!! Yikes!!!!!"

Thank you Rowie, May and Mr. Pineda for letting Andrew use the unit |

Complete panic mode!!! Oh my was I so scared to open that door, afraid to be "surprised" by people inside. But to my surprise, nobody jumped out to surprise me, and that scared me all the more. Because of all the different emotions I was feeling all at once, I just instinctively went through all the doors and knocked to find Andrew. Well, according to their plan, I was supposed to calmly read the instructions and follow them to the letter until I get to the place where he's hiding. BUT I DIDN'T! Hahahaha...And then Andrew came out from his hiding place and said, "ikaw talaga..." and I just said, "Wait, can I change into a better outfit first?" After agreeing to that (and me peeking at the note that was inside the comfort room), we finally agreed to go through each area together, as how it should be :)

Our 'first task' |
Side story: After he slipped the ring on my finger and thought I have recovered from the "shock", he brought out a few sparkly things. Turns out he had 2 other engagement rings for me to choose from, in case I had a different taste than him! But there's no contest, I LOOOOOVE the ring he chose for me :)
Well, he also asked Rowie, Iza and Wendy which was the best and as you may have guessed, each had a different choice..wenk!! hahaha.. :))

Linis-linis din pag may time! Hahaha..love this shot, sooo cute! |
Yeah, really how it should be for us...I felt like I was floating so I needed my anchor to hold me, add to that the emotional roller coaster I was in (sobs, laughter)..baka di ako makalakad mag-isa! It was such a sweet and romantic gesture that I promised I won't start a fight for at least a year..hehehe.. What made it more special was the fact that he actually didn't have to make an elaborate proposal pa since I accepted his proposal na, almost a month before this. We were actually deep in the planning stages of our 100-day preps, you know, we've got the church, reception and I think we were already done with our food tasting!! But I really appreciate this, all the more because Iza told me that it was actually Andrew's idea (the surprise, letters, etc) and they were just there to support him. Just the same, THANK YOU Rowie, Wendy and Iza for helping him :)
As if that wasn't enough, I was told that we were to proceed to a cupcake shop to "congregate". And they were cooking another surprise..an engagement dinner in Serendra's Brazil Brazil resto. Again, totally unnecessary kahit tapsilog lang okay na ako, but wow ang sarap ng food! hahahaha...and one by one our friends started coming and celebrated with us, I definitely wasn't able to hold in my tears that night..ewan ko ba kung pinapasaya ako or pinapaiyak..hahaha kidding! Despite the heavy downpour, despite the traffic, despite everything...it was such a grand night!
This will always be a happy memory for me. Thank you, Daddy Andrew! I love you so much!

And from that night to the morning after while having breakfast, I just couldn't help but look at 'my precious' hahaha..my mom even told my brother, "gisingin mo na nga ate mo, nananaginip pa ata eh!" Seriously, I still do that sometimes but it's not about the ring anymore. Although I must admit, it is dainty and really pretty (lucky that my hubby and mother-in-law have good tastes)!! Or even which goes first (the e-ring or wedding ring) or whether the gap is important (gasp! haha most people don't mind...really!). Now I understand that the engagement doesn't stop once you have said your I do's. If anything, I feel it's much more stronger now that we have a little family of our own. :)
