Another mommy-craving satisfied! For the past 9 months I've always planned on trying this place out but didn't get the opportunity to do so. It's literally just a stone's throw away from my OB-GYNE's clinic in Makati (and we were there practically every week for the duration of my pregnancy), a very walkable distance, but because of my gestational diabetes we decided to put it off for later. Actually, hubby declared a full diabetic diet for me (no sugar and moderated carbs...oh man!!) but because I'm kyoooo-oot (or pa-cute hihi) I can sometimes get away with little treats here and there :D
My interest was piqued by Kris Aquino through her morning show, KrisTV, which features all sorts of food finds in the Metro. I used to watch it every morning before I headed to school. And because I wasn't allowed to "eat-all-I-can" then, I just took mental notes on must try food spots for when we are conveniently around the area :)
Luckily, this Cheese Steak joint which she raved about was just alongside the Skyway's Makati exit ramp on that fine Saturday afternoon and maybe the cheese steak 'gods' heard my plea...finally, my hubby allowed me to sample these amazing babies! And let me just say, they are really soooo yummy!!!
Looks too onion-y? Not to worry! These are caramelized well and would go 'undetected' even through onion-averse palates :) We ordered the Classic Philly and King of Philly Bacon Cheese Steaks.
Goes perfectly with super cheesy fries!
Methinks it's a great place to hang-out with friends or spend a cozy and fun first date! Check out their collection of board games to while the time :)
